What's Happening in Davenport - Shops
In addition to delicious restaurants and lively events, Davenport is home to a variety of shops that fit the bill no matter if you are looking to update your wardrobe or find unique vintage pieces. There is a store for everyone in Davenport. The agents in our Davenport Office shared the stores they visit when they are in need of a little retail therapy!
Home Decor
Just Because is a beautiful store with an equally beautiful story. Beverly the owner of Just Because was looking to find a career she loved but also didn't want to sacrifice time with her children. Just Because has been in other Iowa Cities before settling into the Village of East Davenport like Blue Grass and Muscatine. In 2017 Just Because moved to Davenport and has been selling furniture, home decor, books, children's items, and accessories ever since!
Another spot to visit while in East Village if on the look for home decor and furnishings is Calla. Specializing in decor, lighting, furniture, and everything in between, Calla has it all to update your home!
After you're finished shopping for your home, head upstairs to Mezzanine Boutique to shop for yourself! Mezzanine has you covered if you're looking for a comfy summer dress, flattering jeans and bottoms, and well-structured tops. And they also have adorable accessories and gifts. One building, two great stores!
The owner of What a Gem wanted a solution to bridge the gap in the market for an eclectic vintage yet modern shop in the Quad Cities. And that's how What A Gem came to be! What A Gem has unique items for the home or for yourself like fun barware and sustainable items like Swedish Sponge Clothes. A great place to buy gifts for the person who is hard to shop for!
Vintage
If you love antique and vintage hunting then you've got to check out both Abernathy's and Doodads. The shops are next door to each other and both feature retro items. Stop by Abernathy's for your vintage-inspired clothing, stickers, jewelry, and accessories, but be warned, that many items feature adult humor and may not be suitable for young kids. Next, swing by DooDads, a "delightfully different, always affordable" antique store. Follow their Facebook page to be notified of upcoming estate sales that Doodads hosts!
If finding vintage and/or collective vinyl or music-related items, you most likely already know about Ragged Records. This store is huge and their collective is even bigger, you'll want to set aside quite some time to go through all there is to offer at Ragged Records. But it's worth your time as you know "what you'll find, or who'll you'll see!"
Apparel
Mint Green is located in the Village of East Davenport and is your place to shop if you need to update your wardrobe with pieces you won't find at department stores. It's been Mint Green's mission since day one to offer fashionable clothes and accessories to every woman which is why you'll find a variety of styles and sizes of all their clothing. The front of the store also features a shop for the littles in your life! Cute clothes, books, and necessities for babies and infants!
Catherine's Boutique has two locations, one in Iowa City, and their second location in Davenport on Utica Ridge Road. Catherine's Boutique is a high-end women's clothing store for those who have a great appreciation for fashion. They featured brands that will cost you a pretty penny but are pieces you will have in your closet forever. Brands like Frame, Clare V, Ulla Johnson, Sea, and more, stop in to view their collection.
Theo & Co is a store for the men! Theo & Co is a men's clothing and goods store that takes the stress out of shopping at big stores and instead focuses on making shopping easier and more relaxing. Grab a drink and shop around, that's the goal of Theo & Co. Also in 2020 The Gentlemen's Bark Shop+Shave Parlor opened inside the store. Find ready-to-wear clothes, leather goods, gifts, and more in this store located in Downtown Davenport.

This blog couldn't be complete without featuring a store for the fur babies! Freddy's Fritters Dog Bakery & Pet Boutique is located in the Village of East Davenport and has all you need to spoil your sweet pup from gourmet treats to clothes, bowties, and stylish collars.
Sweet Tooth Snacks is your store for all things snacking, especially popcorn! With lots of popcorn varieties to choose from, it doesn't matter if you are a sweet or savory person there is a flavor for you! They also have personalized gifts throughout the year so remember to stop in the next time you need a unique and yummy gift!
For bikes and bike accessories pedal over to Trek Bicycle Store Davenport. They sell all sorts of bikes from road and mountain bikes to hybrid and children's bikes. They also offer parts if you are looking to customize your bike and accessories, helmets, and shoes. Basically, anything bike related you might need is at Trek!
