Dubuque Iowa Listed Within Top 10 Great Cities
Dubuque is a great place to live! Of course we always knew that but Kiplingers Personal Finance Magazine thinks it too.
According to Kiplinger, what makes a city great is: "good jobs, reasonably priced homes, decent schools, great health care and manageable size are all a part of the mix." Dubuque, rated #10 on Kiplinger's recent list of Great Cities That Have It All. Kiplingers started with the metro areas that have a population of 1 million or less and then whittled the list down to the top 10. Criteria included economic growth (jobs and wages), education (the percentage of the population with a bachelor's degree or higher), housing affordability (cost and regional income levels), doctors per capita, school quality (student teacher ration), and cultural and natural amenities.
