As we near the end of our July campaign, we want to remind you why we began. On June 28, we set out to raise $2,500 for Disabled American Veterans (DAV) by July 31. The DAV works to fulfill promises made to the men and women who have served the United States, and to empower veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. They do this in multiple ways. By providing over 700,000 rides to and from medical appointments and assisting veterans with more than 300,000 benefits claims annually, the DAV is a leader in medical resources. They are also a leader in connecting veterans with meaningful employment by hosting job fairs and providing resume building resources. Other resources provided by the DAV include helpful links for caregivers, PTSD victims, women veterans, just to name a few. So far, we were excited to highlight the importance of honoring the military, to show the great things our agents are doing for veterans, demonstrate how to truly celebrate the Fourth of July, and feature an important resource hub for military members in the Quad Cities. Thank you for your support during this campaign! Our initial post on Facebook has been shared 101 times, and we could not have done it without you! You helped us reach 13,000 people, and gain over 230 likes since we began the campaign. We can't wait to donate $230, and much more at the end of July, directly to the DAV. Please continue to help us support the DAV by liking and sharing our posts on Facebook, inviting your friends to like our Facebook page, and visiting the DAV's website to learn how else our donation will help veterans across America.
