Hooah! Quad Cities began as a military awareness and appreciation campaign to uphold the importance of the defense industry in the Quad Cities, and specifically to make the community more aware of the importance of the Rock Island Arsenal. Hooah!'s mission was to instill community pride for our local military member, veterans and families, and provide a wealth of resources and information related to employment, reintegration, education, volunteerism and events. Three years later, and Hooah! has evolved into exactly that, but so much more. Now a partnership between Sedona Technologies and the Quad Cities Chamber, Hooah!'s recently updated website has become the resource hub it was always meant to be. Included on the site are job postings for men and women transitioning out of the military, and upcoming military events in the area. Not only those two key things, but the new website also includes local organizations with military discounts and benefits, other important community resources and services, and so much more.  Those involved with Hooah! say the work is never done. There is always more resources to add, and more ways to grow. For example, the website is looking to add a section of military friendly housing, and the job postings board is always willing to accept any local business that is hiring military in the area. Plus, if you're a local organization that works ensures veterans are a vibrant, respected and well-served part of our community, Hooah! would love to partner with you. Hooah! Quad Cities is a communication and resource hub designed to inform and connect the region by promoting a vibrant military presence and bring together a wider defense stakeholder community through communications, visibility, and better synchronized activities. Their pledge is to assist and support our military members, veterans and our military families. To learn more about Hooah Quad Cities, visit their website! And remember! All throughout the month of July, for every new like on the Ruhl&Ruhl Facebook page, we will donate $1 to the DAV. So far we have raised over $100, but we need your help to hit our goal of $2500 by July 31! Please, invite your friends to like our page, share our posts, and help us help veterans across our nation!
