Habitat for Humanity has a vision where everyone has a decent place to live. Hannah Dolash, a Realtor in the Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors Clinton Office, agrees. In fact, she thinks volunteering for Habitat for Humanity is the perfect niche for a Realtor. The volunteer driven organization builds affordable housing for low-income families. "I immediately thought of what a Realtor could help with, what better way than to help a family have a home built?" Dolash said. "The ultimate result is them having a home they can financially afford, which stems off of my everyday career. It is very heartfelt and gratifying." Dolash has been a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County for two years. In that small amount of time she has become the Secretary for her local Clinton County chapter as an Executive Board Member and Fundraising Committee Chair. "The homes that we build are simple, decent structures and are not hand-outs," Dolash said, "Partner families put in a large amount of time before and during the build process and work side by side with volunteers to build a home that is affordable." "Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County offers a no interest loan to the partner families, who make monthly mortgage payments that help fund future building projects." Volunteers provide most of the labor; money and materials are donated to build Habitat homes. Click here if you would like to make a donation or volunteer. "The partner families that we are helping with the build are beyond grateful," Dolash said. "We laugh a little, we pray together. [The families] have worked so diligently towards the build, and it's amazing to see the grace that comes into play when everyone works together, it's worth the sweat!"
