Northwest Recreation Center: This center is the first municipal building specifically built for recreational programming in Cedar Rapids. The building is 16,000 square feet and includes a full-size gym, activity room, game room, and community room with dividers.
The Mother Mosque: This simple, one story wood frame prairie schoolhouse style building was completed in 1934. It was the first building designed and constructed as a house of worship for Muslims in America. It is also the oldest surviving place of worship for Muslims.
