History:

In 1837, William Follett established a ferry service on the Wapsipinicon River that the town of Folletts is situated near. Soon after in 1884, the Folletts post office was established only to be discontinued in 1933. Up until the great depression, Folletts was an important trade stop for the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad on its was to and from Chicago.

BS General Store is a local favorite that acts as a community hot stop. Stop in and you’re bound to run into friends from all over town. Community celebrations and holiday parties are a common sight for this local pub. Locals will tell you that the BS general store has the best bloody marys around.

Follett Park is 7-acres in size and is perfect for picnics or a stroll through nature. Situated in between five different Disc-Golf courses, the Folletts Park disc-golf course is sure to please disc-golfers of any caliber. It’s a standard 18 hole course, with relatively flat terrain and lightly wooded. This course is golf cart friendly and has camping located nearby.
