2023 Local Easter Events Happening Near You

Don’t let the Easter bunny creep up on you this year! The holiday is just around the corner, and before you go scrambling around for last-minute plans, check out what’s happening around our Ruhl communities and get a head start on your holiday planning!

Quad Cities Area

Saturday April 8th:

  • Easter Egg Scramble at Village of East Davenport that features an Easter Egg Hunt, Kids ¼ or ½ Mile Fun Run, adult 5K, and MORE!
  • Easter Pictures with Anna & Elsa at Longview Park in Rock Island, IL. Starts at 1PM with a $5 admission.
  • Easter Egg Hunt & Egg-stravaganza at Board & Brush Quad Cities. The easter egg hunt is FREE for kids and there will be $5 bunny projects that they can also do. Adult easter egg grab baskets will be available along with candy and coupons. There will be a $5 walk-in workshop as well to enjoy. This event is from 9AM-12PM.
  • Egg Hunt at Grandview Baptist Church at 10AM. Kids up to the 5th grade can participate.
  • Scrambled Eggs Easter Egg Hunt at Grace Family Church starting at 12 PM. There will be an egg hunt, face painting, balloon artist, inflatable jump houses & more!

Sunday April 9th:

  • Easter Egg Hunt at Legacy Church starting at 10:45AM.
  • Easter Brunch Buffet at Davenport Machine Shed from 7AM-3PM. Learn more & RSVP here.
  • Easter Brunch Buffet at Thunder Bay Grille from 9AM-3PM. Learn more & RSVP here.

  • Easter Breakfast before mass at Grandview Baptist Church.

Burlington Area

Saturday April 8th:

  • Easter Bunny Pictures at Burlington Vintage and Co.from 2PM-4PM. Take your own free photos with the Easter Bunny.

Sunday April 9th:

  • Classic Easter Buffet at Catfish Bend Convention & Event Center, Sunday April 9th from 11AM-1:30PM. Learn more & RSVP here.

Cedar Rapids Area

Saturday April 8th:

  • Bunny Bash at Bloomsbury Farms from 10AM-4PM. Bunny photos, food stands, gift shop & MORE!
  • Annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Robins Civic Club & City of Robins. The hunt will take place at 9:30AM at East Knoll Park for ages 0-10 and there will be a special hunt for ages 0-3. Limit of 10 eggs per child. There will also be an Easter Bunny.
  • Annual Easter showcase at Noelridge Greenhouse from 11AM-5PM.
  • Easter llama & His Peeps at Prairie Patch Farms from 11AM-12PM. Learn more & get tickets here.

Sunday April 9th:

  • Bunny Bash at Bloomsbury Farms from 10AM-4PM. Bunny photos, food stands, gift shop & MORE!
  • Annual Easter showcase at Noelridge Greenhouse from 11AM-5PM.
  • Easter Brunch at The Hotel at Kirkwood from 10AM-2:30PM. Learn more here.
  • Easter Egg-stravaganza at the Spirit of Faith Family Church. Starts after mass at 10AM for ages 0-11 for an Easter egg hunt and Easter bunny.

Dubuque Area

  • Community Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza at Bridge Christian Community from 10AM-12AM on Saturday April 8th. There will be games, crafts, the Easter Story, and Easter egg hunt. You can decorate your own Easter bag & play some games. Ages 6+ start at 11AM and 5 & under start at 10:30AM. Egg & spoon race to follow along with an egg toss.
  • Easter Egg Hunt along the Heritage Trail from April 7th to April 10th, 8AM-6PM. See a map & more info here.

Iowa City Area

Thursday April 6th:

  • Egg hunt at the Iowa City Pizza Ranch & FunZone Arcade from 6PM-7PM.

Saturday April 8th:

  • Easter egg hunt and continental breakfast at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 9AM. Ages 0-5 are welcome and will break out into age-leveled groups to hunt for eggs in age-designated areas. Bring your Easter basket, or decorate a bag when you arrive!
  • Breakfast with the Bunny at Hyatt Regency from 10AM-12PM. Buffet, pancake bar, made-to-order omelets, cereal bar, carved ham, and more! Egg hunt will start at 11AM. Learn more here.

  • Annual Spring Celebration at Church of Christ on Saturday April 8th. Easter Egg Hunt from 1:00PM-3:00PM and fun games start at 3PM. 6th grade and under are welcome.
