Deere&Company established a factory here in 1900 and other companies followed. East Moline was incorporated as a village in 1903 and as a city in 1907.

East Moline is located on the south bank of the Mississippi River directly east of Moline. The city covers an area of 9.02 square miles and has a population density of 2,337 people/square mile. Visit the famous John Deere Factory to take a tour or boat on the Mississippi river from many of the areas access points.
