Bring your imagination and own a piece of history! The Hall Homestead House is ready for the right person to restore it to its original glory. Built by Jonathan Chapin Hall in 1848, Hall chose to build a home that reflected the architecture of early Burlington. Hall served as a pioneer Iowa lawyer, judge, legislator and president of the Missouri River Rail Road. The first steam engine in Burlington was named J.C. Hall in his honor. The front of this home has been placed on Historical Registry (no additions to front of house). It's a diamond in the rough! The home to the West is also for sale and was a part of the original homestead and built by Hall's son Benton Jay Hall.
