Attractions and Entertainment The Oakwood Country Club offers one of the best golf courses in the Quad Cities. Oakwood Country Club is located in Coal Valley and was the original home of the Hardee's Golf Classic. The tournament was later renamed the John Deere Classic and is recognized as a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour.
Home of the Niabi Zoo, Coal Valley continues to offer a positive living environment for all ages and backgrounds. Approximately 250,000 visitors a year make Niabi Zoo one of the area's most popular attractions. The zoo is home to over 900 animals representing 160 species and is a community "must see."
The Quad City International Airport is adjacent to Coal Valley and is home to major airlines offering daily flights. Highways 6 and 150 pass within Coal Valley's village and Interstates 74 and 280 are in close proximity to the village and make traveling easy.
